We take students through the entrepreneurial journey. It is not an academic exercise; students learn real-world lessons on what it takes to solve problems through innovation.
PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION:
The curriculum starts by taking students through a process to identify a problem they are passionate about solving. The problem could be at their school, in their community, or in the world at-large but the core of the program focuses on a real problem. |
TEAM FORMATION:
Our program guides students through a process to understand their own strengths and the skill sets of their peers. We train students on team dynamics and how to best leverage a diverse team to deliver results. |
SOLUTION DEVELOPMENT:
The real-world approach to entrepreneurship is found in the methodology we use to help students create an innovative solution to the problem. Students conduct competitive research and build a product, service, or technology idea. |
VALIDATION:
Our program helps students validate their ideas through customer interviews where they learn if there is a real market for their solution. Students use the scientific method to make and test assumptions. |
MARKET ANALYSIS:
Students are guided through a research process to identify the competition and market opportunity for their solution. Students discover the current competitive landscape for their venture and learn where they would fit. |
BUSINESS MODEL:
Our program helps students identify revenue streams, cost structure, and pricing for their venture. Building upon their research into the competitive landscape students put the financial pieces together for their venture. |
BUSINESS OPERATIONS:
Through a series of workshops students will brand their venture, determine a social media strategy, put together a budget, and create the cultural values for their venture. |
BUSINESS IMPLEMENTATION:
Our program helps students learn and practice basic business etiquette, elevator pitches, and the value of business cards. We help the students understand how to navigate business culture. |
PEOPLE:
It takes a lot of support to launch a venture! Our program helps students identify and contact key people to help them succeed including mentors, advisory board members, and potential partners. |
PITCH:
Using the SEED SPOT method of a 3-minute pitch presentation, each venture creates their own pitch. Our program culminates with the students giving their pitches before a live audience for prizes and community support. |
IMPACT:
Throughout the program students are challenged to consider the impact of their venture. From the scope of their problem to stakeholder integration, students are encouraged to think holistically about their venture. |
NEXT STEPS:
While our ultimate goal is education, many student teams come up with viable ventures. Our program concludes with the development of an action plan for where students go next to launch their venture concept. |
